The Ukraine crisis causes Microsoft to scale back its operations in Russia
As a result of Russia's invasion of Ukraine, Microsoft announced on Wednesday reductions in its business in the country. The company joined a long list of companies putting their investments at risk or pulling out.
Our decision to significantly scale down our operations in Russia is due to the changes in the economic outlook, a Microsoft spokesperson said.
In response, the company continues to fulfill its contractual obligations with Russian customers, in spite of the suspension of new sales announced earlier in March.
