Previously, Kash Patel revealed that Trump had been in a fight with the federal government to declassify documents.

According to Patel, who served as a top defense official, Trump declassified a number of documents during his presidency.

According to Patel, Americans "will never have access to the Russiagate documents or to anything else President Trump lawfully declassified due to current DOJ actions and continuing FBI investigation.".

“President Trump made me his representative a month ago, and we’ve been in a bureaucratic battle,” he told Fox News on Sunday morning. “We found whole sets of documents we got out to the American public … about 60 percent.”
