On Tuesday, the Supreme Court ended a lawsuit by Democratic lawmakers accusing President Donald Trump of violating anti-corruption provisions in the US Constitution with his companies.
Lawmakers have accused Trump of violating "bonus" provisions that are rarely proven in the constitution and that prohibit presidents from accepting gifts or payments from state and foreign governments without congressional approval. The lead plaintiff in the case is US Senator Richard Blumenthal of Connecticut.
