Senate GOP Chuck Grassley warns FBI of 'losing people's trust'

“Whistleblowers have told my office that the FBI maintains many sources that have provided extensive information on Hunter Biden. That information allegedly involves potential criminal activity such as money laundering,” he said from the Senate floor on Monday. “That’s the same criminal concern that Senator [Ron] Johnson and I raised in our 2020 Biden reports. According to allegations, the underlying information was verified and verifiable. However, instead of green-lighting investigative activity, the FBI shut it down.”

Senator Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) warned on Monday that alleged political bias within the FBI hurts the bureau's reputation. A letter Grassley wrote to FBI Director Christopher Wray and Attorney General Merrick Garland last week alleges widespread FBI efforts to downplay and discredit negative information about Hunter Biden, the son of Joe Biden.

Senate Judiciary Committee Republican ranking member said bureau whistleblowers have reported legitimate reports about Hunter Biden being classified as disinformation.
