The nursing home argues that it has full legal immunity from lawsuits like the Robertson case arising from COVID-19. He cites recent law changes from the previous Trump administration in 2005 that the aged care industry had required.
The law known as the PREP Act was originally designed to encourage emergency vaccine production during a pandemic by granting legal immunity to drug developers.
