Garnica Robertson wants to take responsibility for her mother's death from COVID-19 that was discovered during her stay in a Kansas nursing home that was allegedly unable to prevent an outbreak. An unexpected legal obstacle gets in your way.

The nursing home argues that it has full legal immunity from lawsuits like the Robertson case arising from COVID-19. He cites recent law changes from the previous Trump administration in 2005 that the aged care industry had required.
The law known as the PREP Act was originally designed to encourage emergency vaccine production during a pandemic by granting legal immunity to drug developers.
