The Michigan governor's office recently revealed that she is traveling to Florida despite a warning to residents not to travel outside the state.

Spokesmen for Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer told the media that the Democrat took what they described as a personal trip to visit her father about a month ago.

“Her dad was fully vaccinated and the governor is tested regularly and has never tested positive for COVID. The trip was not paid for at taxpayers’ expense,” a spokesperson said in one of the statements.

Gretchen Whitmer said during a recent press briefing that her father is in Florida.

The governor has repeatedly warned against travel outside the state due to the COVID-19 pandemic, with the official state guide saying that “it is safer to avoid travel outside of the state at this time”.
