President Joe Biden returned to Dc on Tuesday evening, cutting short his vacations while hundreds of Americans remain trapped in Taliban-controlled Afghanistan.

On Friday, President Biden traveled from Delaware, Maryland, a day after leaving Dc. He spent several days in Camp David before flying to Dc on Monday to give remarks from the White House about the Taliban's control of Afghanistan. After his address, he accepted no questions and returned to the retreat.

The Hamid Karzai International Airport is under US control, although Taliban militants are stationed on the perimeter. Afghans anxious to leave the country have clogged the runway, delaying rescue aircraft.
