Biden: 'Incredible transition' to Rise gas prices

When asked about skyrocketing gas prices by reporters during his visit to Japan, Joe Biden seemed to try to put a positive spin on the situation.

President Biden said alongside Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishid, "When it comes to gas prices, we are in the middle of an incredible transformation that, God willing, will bring us and the world closer together and enable us to rely less on fossil fuels when this is all over."

Nationally, gas prices have reached a record high of $4.596 per gallon, with several states paying more than $6.00 a gallon.

Biden described the increased cost of gasoline as an "incredible transition" when asked about the economy, inflation, and record gasoline prices.
