According to the White House, on Oct. 11, President Joe Biden is reevaluating the United States' relationship with Saudi Arabia after OPEC+ cut production.

Russia is an OPEC+ member, which stands for the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries and its allies. Saudi Arabia is also included in the group.

A meeting of OPEC+ in Vienna resulted in a reduction in oil production by two million barrels per day. There is information that Biden administration officials attempted to convince the group not to enact cuts.

“I think the president has been very clear that this is a relationship that we need to continue to reevaluate that we need to be willing to revisit, and certainly in light of the OPEC decision, I think that’s where he is,” John Kirby, a White House spokesman, said on CNN.
