Abortion Executive Order Signed by Biden

The executive order was signed by President Biden on July 8 to ensure women have access to abortions.

Mifeprex, an FDA-approved abortion pill capable of killing a fetus up to the 10th week of pregnancy, was added to the list of abortion methods made available by the Department of Health and Human Services by Biden. Additionally, the agency will increase efforts to educate the public on abortion access and ensure pregnant women have access to emergency medical care.

“There’s an increasing concern that extremist governors and others will try to get that data off of your phone, which is out there in the ether, to find what you’re seeking, where you’re going, and what you’re doing in regard to your health care,” Biden said in prepared remarks at the White House in Washington before signing the order.

Aside from protecting women who seek abortion information and get abortions, Biden ordered his administration to examine possible steps to protect their privacy.
