A climate change advocate confronts Sen. Kyrsten Sinema at the airport

During a stop at the airport, a woman in close proximity to Senator Kyrsten Sinema urged her to support Democrats' legislation addressing climate change, valued at $3.5 trillion.

Protesters met Sinema at the airport for the second time, demanding she vote in favor of President Joe Biden's social welfare and climate change plan. Sinema was followed into a toilet at Arizona State University earlier this month by four people who urged her to vote for immigration legislation, which would provide citizenship to undocumented immigrants brought to the USA as children.

Sinema is one of two Democratic senators who have expressed reservations about the spending in her party's $3.5 trillion budget reconciliation bill, which would expand government social welfare and require a shift to "clean" energy to battle climate change.

Sinema chastised her own party for its "unconscionable" inability to conduct a vote on the bipartisan infrastructure package after Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) postponed the vote, citing the need for "additional time."
